The parish of Cruwys Morchard is located in the countryside of Mid-Devon, about 4 to 5 miles west of Tiverton along the road to Witheridge, and covers about 5765 acres of land.

It includes the  villages of Pennymoor, Way Village and part of Nomansland. At this present time around 367 residents are on the Electoral Roll.
