This includes listed buildings, conservation areas, traditional structures and through good new development.
Services provided by the Conservation team include:
to give advice on new development in historic areas, changes to listed buildings and the character of conservation areas
to identify and appraise conservation areas, and promote policies and schemes for their preservation and enhancement (e.g. building repairs and townscape improvements)
to advise on energy efficiency adaptations to historic buildings and areas, where possible
to provide advice on traditional building skills and materials, and their repair
