General Repairs and Maintenance
When you become our tenant, you enter into a contract with us. As part of that contract, we agree to carry out certain repairs and maintenance work to your home and you agree to keep it in good condition (see What We Repair). In general, our repairs are to keep the structure and outside of your home in good repair. We also maintain installations for water, electricity, gas and drainage inside your home.
We expect you to report repair needs as soon as you notice them. We can then act on them as quickly as possible, within our set timescales (see How We Prioritise Repairs).
Improvement Works
As well as general repairs and maintenance, you may want to improve your home by making changes to it. This can be anything from building a porch or installing more kitchen cabinets, to any adaptations needed for a disability. We must first give our permission before you can do any work to your home.
