It is with deep regret that we must comply with emergency legislation and close our Tiverton and Crediton cemeteries to members of the public, unless a funeral is taking place. We understand this will be a very distressing time for a lot of people who have lost loved ones, but we must comply to ensure the safety of everyone.

As we enter a period of uncertainty amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, it will be necessary for us to focus our limited resources and staff to ensure all our services continue to operate.
In the event that a grave needs to be reopened, which is adjacent to one in your ownership, the soil may need to be temporarily placed onto this grave to facilitate burial.
Should this take place, we wish to reassure you that all graves will be protected, treated with the greatest respect and returned to their original condition. We apologise if this should cause you concern or inconvenience.
