ECO Stars

We are a member of the ECO Stars scheme. ECO Stars is a fuel management and operational efficiency support program, designed as a measure for local authorities to improve local air quality by reducing emissions from heavy duty vehicles including bus and HGV fleets. Walking Football is a slow-paced version of the beautiful game aimed at those who are 50+ years and is a great way to keep fit. Public health services have partnered with Age UK Mid Devon, Exeter City Football Club, Active Devon and Mid Devon Leisure to set up Walking Football programs at the following locations:Walking Football

A new 12 week program to help you improve your physical fitness is now available through your GP or health professional. The Active Start scheme provides specialised, supervised exercise sessions for anyone whose fitness and health conditions can be improved by regular exercise.Active Start

The program is being offered at a special introductory discounted monthly price or pay as you go reduced rates. It's suitable for a wide range of people and conditions, including those who may not have exercised before, or not for a very long time. Examples of conditions include:

• high blood pressure;
• Diabetes;
• Mental health issues, and;
• arthritis.
