We're seeking to maintain our Planning and Enforcement services, but in order to do this, many of our officers will be working from home.
Planning Service – January 2021 Lockdown Update
During the current COVID-19 lockdown (January 2021), Mid Devon District Council will continue to process and determine planning applications as normally as possible. Officers will only carry out essential site visits subject to complying with Government instructions and the Council’s own Risk Assessment process. Where site visits cannot be made, officers will continue to use site photos/ videos in order to make decisions.
The Pre Application Service will be suspended from 6th January 2021. The Planning Service will not accept any pre application requests for the foreseeable future. An update will be posted on this webpage as to when the pre application service will reopen
The paid Duty Officer Enquiries will continue to be answered by email only for the foreseeable future.
The Virtual Planning Committee meetings will continue to be held until further notice.
Planning agents and applicants
For agents and applicants, the best way to contact officers about a specific application, is via email directly and copied to devcon@middevon.co.uk.
Any other enquiries should be sent to devcon@middevon.co.uk. The admin team will endeavour to respond at the earliest opportunity, but please be aware, you may experience delays over the coming weeks. Our online planning service Public Access is available to make representations and to view planning applications.
