What are my rights and obligations as a result of the Coronavirus Act?

The Government has now brought the Coronavirus Act 2020 into force. This act implements a number of temporary changes to the way the private rented sector operates.

If you're a landlord...

  • The Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities have issued an open letter to all landlords in England appealing for your help in their effors to encourage behavious to help combat the virus.
  • Watch our webinar video (first broadcast on 15 April 2020) brought to you in partnership with Ashford’s LLP Solicitors.
  • Also, have a think about how to help protect your tenants:  We may be able to help resolve any issues and can talk to you and your tenants to offer advice if they are at risk of losing their home. If you're a tenant...

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities have issued key messages for residents stressing the importance of ventiallation to reduce transmission of the virus and other advice about heating and energy bills.
