An opportunity has arisen for a full time Administration Apprentice based at Mid Devon District Council working in our Growth, Economy and Delivery Team.
About the Role
This is a trainee role and the successful candidate will be working within a small, busy team supporting economic growth within the district. You will be involved in a range of administrative functions to support economic development, including helping to develop and maintain databases, undertaking financial administration, handling business enquiries, creating promotional materials and producing reports and presentations.
You will gain experience in using a range of Microsoft applications, including databases, presentation and report writing software, financial monitoring software; providing customer service for a range of business enquiries and carrying out a range of general office administrative duties. The job role and responsibilities will focus on routine tasks and activities which will support your learning and development as you progress through your apprenticeship.
You will need a GCSE/NVQ level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above or be willing to work towards a Level 2 in English, Maths and functional skills.
About the Apprenticeship
Within your apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge, skills and understanding to be able to provide a high quality administrative service to the Growth, Economy and Delivery team. You will be working to complete the Business Admin Level 2 Apprenticeship with potential to then go forward and complete Level 3. The training provider is with Petroc College, Tiverton.
The Level 2 Apprenticeship process will take approximately 14 months to complete and will be supported with on-the-job and off-the-job training. You will have regular contact and access to a college tutor within the workplace. There will also be time spent away from day to day duties to complete coursework and assignments.
A satisfactory basic disclosure check and three years complete education/ employment history will be requested in the event of you being offered the position.
