Salary: £34,788- £37,849
Location: Based in Tiverton
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Property Services team, delivering a range of projects across our corporate and commercial property portfolio. We are looking for a projects officer who has a wealth of knowledge in the main contracting market.
As an experienced project officer, you will:
- Successfully manage allocated multidisciplinary projects and their associated activities from conception through to completion
- Delivering work that meets project requirements
- Achieve customer satisfaction
You will have experience of NEC/JCT construction contracts and educated to degree or HNC/HND level in a relevant technical discipline with the ability of using AutoCAD. You will have proven experience of managing contractors within a traditional construction project and you will have a good understanding of commercial issues affecting project performance. You will be managing budgets and will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of contract and financial management as well as other technical issues that may arise during a project. This role will also carry out building condition surveys and the Councils life cycle programme of works and supporting the Group Manager on work associated with managing the Council’s carbon footprint.
You will have highly developed communication skills and excellent planning, organisation skills, skilled negotiator and be a creative thinker and have the ability to build positive working relationships within the organisation with colleagues at all levels.
