An exciting opportunity has come up to join our Communications Team as a Digital Marketing Apprentice based at Mid Devon District Council.
As a small, but busy team our vision is to engage with the people of Mid Devon through a variety of existing and new platforms, to support the work of our Members and officers and to ensure our customers know about the good work we are doing.
Would you like to earn and learn in one of the most interesting areas of local government? The role’s main focus is supporting the Communication and Engagement Manager by sourcing, writing and sharing content on social media, assisting with customer consultation and media enquiries and developing new ways to widen our reach to tell our story.
We will train you so you have the knowledge you need. We’re looking for an approachable, keen and adaptable team player in this varied role. Having an interest in traditional media as well as social media is a must, as is having excellent written and verbal skills which are accurate and engaging. You must also be willing to work to deadlines and under pressure. You will also need the confidence to deal with sometimes challenging situations and a wide range of different people and agencies.
Computer literacy together with good Maths and English qualifications are essential.
During the apprenticeship you will study a Social Media and Digital Marketing Level 3 Apprenticeship standard with Exeter College.
A satisfactory basic disclosure check and three years complete employment history will be requested in the event of you being offered the position.
