We have a vacancy for a Business Administration Apprentice within our Member Services team based at Phoenix House, Tiverton.
About the Role
This is an apprentice role and the successful candidate will be working within a small, friendly and supportive team in an office environment. You will be involved in a range of administrative functions including research to support the work of the Policy and Research Officer, organisation and helping to set up meetings, note taking of informal working groups and editing and publishing the Councillors weekly information sheet.
You will gain experience of using Microsoft applications and general office administration including best practice. The job role and responsibilities will focus on tasks and activities, which will support your learning and development as you progress through your Apprenticeship.
You will need a GCSE equivalent in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above or be willing to work towards a Level 2 in English, Maths and functional skills which is usually a 10 week programme and can form part of the Apprenticeship programme.
About the Apprenticeship
One day a week will be spent at Petroc College, Tiverton, with a college tutor to complete the Level 3 qualification in Business Administration in which you will develop your knowledge, skills and understanding to provide a high quality administrative service to the Member Services team.
The Level 3 Apprenticeship process will take approximately 16 months to complete and will be supported with on the job and off the job training by both your tutor and the Member Services Team. You will have regular contact and access to your college tutor and a mentor within the workplace.
In return, you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge of Local Government and Business Administration with the full support of an experienced team.
