Salary: £19,554 - £21,166 pro rata
Location: Based in Tiverton

Do you want to play a key part in delivering a public health and regulatory service? Our vision and core role is to protect and improve the health, safety and well-being of people living, working and visiting Mid Devon.

You will work part-time within a dedicated busy team within Public Health and Regulatory Services. We are looking for a team player to deliver specialist support to the Community Safety Partnership, including attending meetings, supporting the Lead Officer with Partnership and Anti-Social Behaviour issues and more widely across our Public Health Services. This is a varied role responsible for core business and technical support to our front-line teams delivering this work. As such you will be at the heart of what we do.

You will work within our Coordination Team and liaise with other officers in dealing with customers and other agencies, allocate and triage service requests and provide the full range of other business support as required. In doing so you will be a key point of contact for these function areas but also provide cover and support to a wide range of other areas with training and development opportunities.

An ability to prioritise effectively and be able to manage data/information and support business processes with attention to detail is essential. You will need to hold (or be working towards) relevant qualifications e.g. Level 3 NVQ in Business Admin/Customer Services, and ideally have recent customer services experience in a similar role along with proven business support skills, ideally in a statutory or regulatory environment. You should be committed to delivering excellent services and maintaining effective relationships with other officers, members and other key stakeholders/partners drawing upon good communication and interpersonal skills. Ideally you will have a full driving licence.

You will also need the confidence to deal with sometimes challenging or difficult situations and to work effectively with other authorities and agencies. Computer literacy is essential and a working knowledge of IDOX Uniform, Integrator and Orchard Software, is desirable (though training can be provided).

A satisfactory basic disclosure check and three years complete employment history will be requested in the event of you being offered the position.
