Fixed Term - Six months (to cover secondment): 37 hours per week
Salary: £27,358 - £29,909
The role will involve the preparation of estimates, control account reconciliations, final accounts, budget monitoring and the day-to-day provision of financial advice and assistance to senior officers.
The post holder will need a recognised accounting qualification, e.g. AAT, and will need previous financial and management accounting knowledge involving the use of software, together with experience of providing advice to managers and staff. The post holder will need to be well organised with a logical approach to problem solving and the ability to prioritise the workload. It is desirable that candidates are IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, accompanied by previous Local Government experience.
A satisfactory basic disclosure check and three years complete employment history will be requested in the event of you being offered the position.
