Salary: £3.70 per hour
An opportunity has arisen for an Apprenticeship at Mid Devon District Council working in our Housing Repairs Technical Support Team based in our Old Road depot.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be working within a small but busy office environment. You will be involved in a range of administrative functions such as sorting and opening the post for the Council, scanning documents into an electronic workflow system, taking and dealing with calls from tenants and providing administrative support to repairs supervisors and surveyors.
You will need a GCSE/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above or be willing to work towards a Level 2 in English, Maths and functional skills.
About the Apprenticeship
Within your apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge, skills and understanding to be able to provide a high quality administrative service to the Building Maintenance Technical Support team. You will be working to complete the Business Admin Level 2 Apprenticeship with potential to then go forward and complete Level 3. The training provider is with Petroc College, Tiverton.
The Level 2 apprenticeship process will take approximately 14 months to complete and will be supported with on the job and off the job training. You will have regular contact and access to a college tutor within the workplace. There will also be time spent away from day to day duties to complete coursework and assignments.
A satisfactory basic disclosure check and three years complete education/employment history will be requested in the event of you being offered the position.
