SALARY: £24,294 - £25,979
LOCATION: Based in Tiverton but working in the Mid Devon area
We are looking to expand our already successful Building Services Team by recruiting an enthusiastic new team member within our commercial team.
We are looking to employ a new member to the team to help ensure that the Community Alarm service is delivered in a professional and effective way and to ensure customers are at the heart of everything we do and that we are responsive to their changing needs and expectations.
The housing repairs team prides itself on being a great place to work, and as such, we are keen to ensure that we get the right person for the role, and also that we are right for you. Many of our team here celebrate 10, 20, 30, even nearly 40 years with the Council Repairs service, which we believe is reflective of the supportive and friendly feel of the team. Applicants must have a full driving licence with use of own vehicle including insurance eligible for business use.

As a Telecare officer, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Promote services, identify marketing opportunities and increase revenue. Develop close links with local charities and organisations that will provide financial support to service users. To make public presentations to promote services as required.
- Implement the sales and marketing strategy to increase business.
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance to staff installing community alarms and telecare equipment. Deliver in-house training to Supported Housing Officers, ensuring staff are able to install all types of equipment
- Develop suitable ways of consulting with client groups to monitor levels of customer satisfaction.

About you:
- Experience of working directly with vulnerable people in housing management or similar environment
- Ability to work on own initiative with a minimum level of supervision
- Ability to drive extensively throughout the Mid Devon area
- Ability to communicate with service users across a variety of levels
- Demonstrates the ability and motivation to achieve results
