Business Administration Apprentice (Leisure)

Fixed Term: 14 months - 37 hours per week
Salary: £3.70 per hour
Location: Tiverton - Crediton - Cullompton
An opportunity has arisen for a full time temporary Leisure Business Administration Apprentice based at one of the Centres, either in Tiverton, Crediton or Cullompton, working with our Support Team.
The successful candidate will undertake the majority of the training at a designated Centre but there may be some travelling required for you to attend training days at College and at the other Centres.
About the Role
This is a trainee role and the successful candidate will be working within the leisure environment. You will be involved in a range of administrative functions such as dealing with the post, data entry, photocopying, assisting with data processing, and working front of house at the sites.
You will gain experience of using Microsoft applications and general office administration, including best practice. The job role and responsibilities will focus on routine tasks and activities which will support your learning and development as you progress through your apprenticeship.
You will need a GCSE/NVQ level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above or be willing to work towards a Level 2 in English, Maths and functional skills.
You will have a good knowledge of IT office packages and databases
About the Apprenticeship
Within your apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge, skills and understanding to be able to provide a high quality administrative service to the Leisure team. You will be working to complete the Business Admin Level 2 Apprenticeship with potential to then go forward and complete Level 3. The training provider is with Petroc College, Tiverton.
The Level 2 apprenticeship process will take approximately 14 months to complete and will be supported with on the job and off the job training. You will have regular contact and access to a College tutor within the workplace. There will also be time spent away from day to day duties to complete coursework and assignments.
A satisfactory basic disclosure check and three years complete academic and/or employment history will be requested in the event of you being offered the apprenticeship.
