Salary: £27,357 - £29,903 (pro rata)
We currently have a vacancy for an Enforcement Officer within the Development Management Unit. The post is available on a part time permanent basis of working 18.5 hours per week.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and capable individual to undertake a career in planning enforcement. As part of the Development Management team, you will play an important role in investigating and resolving cases of alleged breaches of planning control. This will involve making site visits, undertaking site surveillance and conducting interviews where necessary. You will prepare reports, documents and evidence in connection with cases for Planning Committee, appeals and legal proceedings and give evidence.
Your focus will be on results; you will need a good understanding of the planning system and preferably experience of planning enforcement. Good communication and negotiation skills together with computer literacy will also be required.
A satisfactory basic disclosure check and three years complete employment history will be requested in the event of you being offered the position.
