Location: Based in Tiverton

Do you have an interest in carrying out monitoring, research and preparing information reports to support the Council’s planning function on new housing and other development? This may be the opportunity you have been looking for.

We are seeking an officer who has good general level of education to HNC level in a relevant area or be able to evidence operational experience within a data rich environment with a high level of proficiency in numeracy skills, attention to detail and knowledge of Microsoft ICT packages. You will work as part of the small friendly Forward Planning team at Mid Devon District Council and also liaise with monitoring and information officers in other Councils in the Greater Exeter area.

Your duties include collecting, analysing, monitoring and reporting reliable performance data and management information and you will translate into effective and actionable information to support the Council and improve service delivery. You will contribute to research and tasks that support the planning policy team.

You will be able to provide examples of your experience and skill and have a passion for working with and manipulating data - making this an exciting opportunity to apply all your skills to improve how we capture, store, use and visualise our data.

This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years and the contracted hours are 30 hours per week.
