FIXED TERM 12 Months: 37 hours per week
SALARY: £26,421 to £28,770 (Pay award pending)
LOCATION: Tiverton

We have an opportunity for a Corporate Income Officer to work in our Revenues team on a fixed term contract for twelve months. To participate in the day-to-day collection of income recovery for all outstanding debts for Debtors, Trade Waste, Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates and other miscellaneous income.

The main duties of the role include progressing, monitoring and chasing arrears cases. Maintenance of clerical and computer records. Dealing with queries via telephone, in writing and email and making decisions in line with government legislation and council policy.

You will be able to demonstrate effective team working and problem solving skills and the ability to combine these with a confident and resilient personality. Dealing with customer enquiries both internal and external, ensuring efficiency and accountability whilst adhering to relevant legislative provisions, council policy and financial regulations previous experience working in a fast paced office environment is desirable.

You will be used to working to tight deadlines and cope with conflicting priorities. As well as numerate, you will need to interrogate and input data into a variety of software systems which requires an eye for detail and accuracy.

The successful candidate will be able to work in a team and on their own initiative. The Revenues Section works within the General Data Protection Act 2018 so the applicant must carry out their duties with complete confidentiality.
