Mid Devon District Council is looking to support projects that will help revitalise its communities within the towns and villages. For 2026/27, we are looking for applications that support heritage, arts, cultural or tourism programmes and events to bring our communities together.

A few examples could be:

  • Heritage: Events, experiences, activities, or trails that celebrate local history and heritage.
  • Arts: Music, dance, cinema, theatre, or arts festivals and events that encourage footfall and celebrate the local arts community.
  • Culture: Events and activities that celebrate local culture, including seasonal events or food festivals.
  • Tourism: Projects that support the tourism community through events and activities across the district and encourage visitors to spend time in the area (e.g., a mystery food trail, meet-and-greet experiences, or "explore Mid Devon in a day" events).

This list is not exhaustive and proposals for other projects that support cultural, arts and heritage activities in the town centres are also welcome.

Business and community groups are encouraged to consider projects that they could put forward for funding. The projects must be delivered by 31 March 2027. Funding cannot be used for projects already delivered or initiated unless it is for a separate phase of a wider project.

Those working in partnership can apply for up to £5,000 for a project. Individual businesses/ organisations can apply for a maximum of £1,000 for a project.
