Support your wellbeing

Following National Stress Awareness Month last month, this is a reminder to take some time to pause, check in with ourselves, and reflect on how we manage stress in our daily lives – both at work and at home every month, not just April. Stress affects everyone differently, and while it can sometimes motivate us, too much over a long period can impact our wellbeing. Recognising the signs early and knowing how to manage stress can make a real difference.

Simple ways to support your wellbeing:

  • Take regular breaks and step away from your screen
  • Get some fresh air or move your body, even briefly
  • Talk to someone you trust if things feel overwhelming
  • Prioritise tasks and be realistic about what you can achieve
  • Make time for rest and activities you enjoy

If you’re feeling under pressure, remember that support is available. You’re encouraged to speak with your manager, a colleague, or access wellbeing resources and support services available through work.

As part of Stress Awareness, you may also find HSE’s Working Minds campaign helpful. It offers practical tools, guidance and free learning to help recognise, prevent, and manage work‑related stress.

Always remember to look after yourself and remember there is support available.
