Council’s Cabinet to meet in Cullompton
Mid Devon District Council’s Cabinet will hold its next meeting in Cullompton on Tuesday, 17 June 2025, rather than its usual location in Tiverton.
Following a successful meeting in Crediton in August 2024, the Council is continuing its efforts to make local democracy more accessible by holding meetings in different towns across the district.
While Cabinet meetings are usually held at the Council’s offices in Tiverton, Members are keen to give residents more opportunities to engage with decision-making, particularly where key local issues are being discussed. Among the items included in the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting is an update on the Cullompton Town Centre Relief Road.
Councillor Luke Taylor, Leader of Mid Devon District Council, said:
"We want to bring decision-making closer to the communities we serve. Holding Cabinet meetings across Mid Devon gives local people a better opportunity to take part, ask questions, and hear discussions on issues that affect them directly."
The Cabinet meeting will be held at Cullompton Community Centre, Pye Corner, Cullompton, Devon, EX15 1JX, starting at 5:15pm. Residents are encouraged to attend, and those wishing to ask questions can find further details on the Council’s website.
