Cullompton Neighbourhood Plan approved at Referendum
The Cullompton Neighbourhood Plan has become the first to be approved in Mid Devon following its referendum held on 6th May 2021.
The referendum results recorded 87.3% of votes in favour of the Neighbourhood Plan.
Voters were asked the question:
“Do you want Mid Devon District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Cullompton to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”
The Cullompton Neighbourhood Plan now forms part of the statutory development plan for the Cullompton area, alongside the Mid Devon Local Plan and the Devon Waste and Minerals Plans. It carries full weight for guiding planning applications submitted to the Council for determination and the decisions made on these. The plan will formally be adopted at a meeting of the Council on 30th June.
