Filming in Mid Devon - Information Event
Mid Devon District Council and Screen Devon is hosting an information event for Mid Devon landowners, venues, businesses and communities
Screen Devon and Mid Devon District Council have come together to share a new approach and desire to become a film friendly region.

Landowners, venues, businesses and communities are invited to join an information event to find out more about filming in Devon.
Cllr Steve Keable, Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Regeneration said:
"We are inviting businesses, organisations, individuals, groups, landowners and suppliers based in Mid Devon to join us to discover what being film friendly means and to hear about the benefits of attracting Film and TV productions to the area."
The event is being held at Coldharbour Mill, Uffculme Friday 28 November 2025 at 10am.
Do you have a potential location which could be the next crime scene or period drama?
Are you a potential supplier who could support the delivery of filming in Devon e.g. from haulage, trades, accommodation and suppliers who can align with the film industry?
Speakers will include Film and TV industry representatives such as Ali Porter a location manager for Blacklight drama (Bergerac), locations already attracting productions in the Southwest and Screen Devon, who are strengthening regional connections and making Devon a more film friendly space.
Claire Horrocks, Manager Screen Devon, said:
"One of our priorities is making Devon more film friendly and making it easy and welcoming for production. Building upon our progress we want to ensure the whole of Devon have the opportunity to attract film productions and that the benefits are shared across the county."
Discover how new locations can register and what to expect when hosting a production.
