Residents in Mid Devon are being asked to share their views about services provided by Mid Devon District Council.

A new residents’ survey is now open and we are encouraging you all to take part, to share your views and priorities for your council.

The survey is open for six weeks and the results will feed into the Council’s budget setting process, as well as future plans for prioritising services.

This year’s survey continues on from last year’s, with questions that include topics such as climate change and dealing with economic pressures, as well as listening to how communities feel about current service provision and where the Council can improve.

The survey is anonymous and a summary of the results will be published on the Council website.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Luke Taylor, said:

“We are elected to listen to and support our residents and businesses and to act on their concerns. But we can only do that if we know what your priorities are and where you would like us to invest and improve. Most people recognise that resources and budgets for local authorities are stretched, and that means it’s even more important that we understand where you want us to focus our resources and what would benefit you and your community. This survey is an important way for us to understand your views and ensure that we’re delivering services and making decisions that reflect the needs of the people in Mid Devon.”

As a result of previous feedback the Council has taken a number of steps to address residents’ priorities and concerns which we raised during previous surveys, including:

The survey can be completed online and should take no more than ten minutes. If you need help completing the survey, or require a paper copy, please contact customer services on 01884 255 255. The deadline for responses is 8 December 2025.
