Your Vote, Your Voice – Key information for the upcoming local elections
Devon County Council elections are taking place across Mid Devon on Thursday 1 May.
Elections at district level for Clare and Shuttern ward are taking place on the same day.
With key deadlines approaching, residents are encouraged to check their voter registration status, apply for postal or proxy votes if needed, and ensure they are ready to have their say.
Key dates to remember:
- Register to vote by 11 April
- Apply for a postal vote by 5pm on 14 April
- You’ll need photo ID to vote in person. If you don’t have an accepted form of ID, apply for a Voter Authority Certificate by 23 April
- Apply for a proxy vote by 5pm on 23 April
Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 1 May. To find your designated polling station, use the ‘Where Do I Vote’ online tool.
