Mid Devon is a film-friendly local authority. Our goal is to support productions and help filming run as smoothly as possible.

Located in the heart of Devon, between Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks and including areas within the Blackdown Hills National Landscape, Mid Devon offers a distinctive and versatile backdrop for filming.

Inland from the busier Devon coastline, the district has excellent access from the M5 and by rail. It offers rolling hills, river valleys, secluded woodland, heritage properties, estates, farmsteads, towns and villages, as well as industrial heritage including mills and waterways.
