Mid Devon District Council’s Landlord Networking Event is returning for its fifth edition; taking place on Wednesday 13 May 2026, from 5:00pm to 8:30pm at the award‑winning Upton Barn & Walled Garden in Cullompton.
The event has become a key date in the calendar for the private rented sector in Mid Devon, bringing together landlords, prospective investors and property professionals for an evening of insight, discussion and connection. Whether attendees are taking their first steps into property investment or managing established portfolios, the event offers a valuable platform to learn more about the sector and the support available locally.
This year’s programme features a strong line-up of expert speakers:
- Susannah Streeter – As Chief Investment Strategist at Wealth Club, Susannah provides expert analysis on the forces shaping investment markets, helping landlords make informed decisions around borrowing, refinancing, yields and long-term asset resilience. Her commentary features regularly on Bloomberg, Reuters, the BBC and the Financial Times.
- Tom Fellows – Head of the team responsible for private sector redress and non-traditional tenures at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). Tom is responsible for the new PRS Landlord Ombudsman, a key measure in the new Renters’ Rights legislation.
- Debbie Franklin – Head of Peplows' team of property tax experts, Debbie is a nationally recognised property tax expert with over 30 years’ experience. Debbie will deliver an update covering the latest changes to property taxes, helping landlords make smarter property decisions in 2026 and beyond.
