Mobility Scooter in Flats Policy

Mid Devon Housing recognises that the use of mobility scooters can enhance the quality of life for many of our residents and leaseholders who may otherwise be limited in their ability to access facilities in the wider community. 

The Mobility Scooter in Flats Policy was approved by Council on 29th October 2025 after recommendation by the Homes Policy Development Group and Cabinet.

The Policy does not apply for tenants who live in houses and bungalows.

The following documents have been produced to assist with the responsibilities of MDH and our tenants with regard to granting permission for tenants to store and charge mobility scooters in flats.
