Guest Speaker

What are the benefits of attending?
- Supports landlords and tenants to navigate changes in financial and regulatory circumstances. Encourages landlords to pre-emptively address property issues, before problems occur.
- Upskilled sales teams will feel more confident to discuss selling points or perceived barriers related to specific properties. For example, if that property needs work, or a new heating system.
- Awareness of wider changing market needs and client profiles (i.e. green motivations).
- Agencies can strive to set or meet their own climate related objectives.
- Potential to free up staff time by outsourcing areas of client advice to ECOE Advice.
- Ability to sign up for time-limited retrofit subsidies for detailed reports and surveys.
Please note - These workshops are not intended as a legal advice session, but an introduction to key areas leading to further exploration and allowing you to pursue formal advice via other avenues. To keep the sessions informative and relevant for all, we cannot deal with specific property or case queries during the workshop session.
What will the workshop cover?
- Support available: Impartial retrofit advice and whole house retrofit plans for landlords; Subsidised whole house retrofit plans for landlords in Mid Devon; Insulation, damp and ventilation assessments; Help for households experiencing fuel poverty including debt support; Making the most of low carbon and smart technology.
- Myth busting and information: EPCs, energy efficiency and retrofit; Ventilation and cavity wall insulation.
- An opportunity for open discussion about the subjects covered and details on how to offer retrofit services subsidised by MDDC
- Ideas for ongoing collaboration and future workshops.
Who should attend?
This workshop is open to letting agents covering the Mid Devon area. All members of staff from branch managers to delivery and sales staff are encouraged to attend.
