The Statement of Community Involvement sets out the Council's policy on consultation and public participation when local plans or supplementary planning documents are prepared and planning applications considered.

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) was adopted by Mid Devon District Council on 26 October 2016. It replaces the SCI adopted in 2012. The SCI was subject to a six week public consultation from the 23 May 2016 – 18 July 2016. A total of 14 valid representations were received and have been considered when producing the final document.
