Cullompton Relief Road Map/PlanBig changes are happening within Cullompton over the next couple of years thanks to the new relief road.

The town has needed a relief road for many years and for several reasons. The town experiences poor air quality and high levels of congestion which will be addressed by a relief road, and it will also unlock land to support the future growth and vitality of the town.

A dedicated webpage has been setup so that you can stay up to date on how the road is progressing, https://letstalk.middevon.gov.uk/cullompton-relief-road. The page will share updates on key milestones, good new stories, and progress about the development of the relief road.

Planning permission and funding have been secured, and construction works are now due to start with the road anticipated to be completed in March 2028. Early enabling works have already been carried out, with a new bus layby in operation on Station Road and a new cricket pitch completed on Horn Road, to the east of the M5.
