Mid Devon - Silverton Neighbourhood Planning Referendum

I Stephen Walford, being the Counting Officer at the above referendum held on Thursday, 29 February 2024, do hereby give notice that the results of the votes cast is as follows:

Do you want Mid Devon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Silverton to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?

Number cast in favour of a Yes  459 90.53% 
Number cast in favour of a No 37  7.3% 

 

The number of ballot papers rejected was as follows: Number of ballot papers

B - voting for more answers than required
C - writing or mark by which voter could be identified 10 
D - being unmarked or wholly void for uncertainty
E - rejected in part
Total 11 

Electorate: 1,636

Ballot Papers Issued: 507

Turnout: 31%

 

And I do hereby declare that more than half of those voting have voted IN FAVOUR OF the Neighbourhood Plan.
