Notice of Election Bradninch Ward

1. Candidate nomination papers may be obtained from Mid Devon District Council Offices, Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, EX16 6PP or by emailing elections@middevon.gov.uk

2. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 6PP between 10am and 4pm on any working day after the date of this notice but no later than 4pm on Friday 18 September 2026. When reception is closed (Wednesday and after 1pm on other weekdays) Please ring the election team on 01884 255255 and a member of staff will meet you.

3. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 15 October 2026.

4. Applications to register to vote (for people not already on the electoral register) must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 29 September 2026. Applications can be made online.

5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, EX16 6PP by 5pm on Wednesday 30 September 2026.

6. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, EX16 6PP by 5pm on Wednesday 7 October 2026.

7. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, EX16 6PP by 5pm on Thursday 15 October 2026. The physical incapacity or work commitment must have occurred after 5pm on Wednesday 7 October 2026.
