Mid Devon residents can now book bulky waste collections using the Council's new portal, My Mid Devon.

Customers with items that are too large for their regular waste collections can now use the new online portal to book a collection date. By creating an account on the My Mid Devon portal, residents can book a convenient time slot to suit them, all at the touch of a button.

Collection of most freestanding items or furniture is included in the Council’s bulky waste collection service, as long as these items can be safely carried between two people.

If you have any items that are still in a decent working condition, please think about ways of re-using or donating your items to local charities and reuse organisations.

Once registered, residents also have the opportunity to sign up to receive regular email reminders which allow them to check what to put out for collection each week and when their collections will be made.

Customers who have already signed up are using the online portal to check their collection dates as well as log issues and access information such as who their local councillors are.

Once the new system is fully integrated with all council services, customers will also be able to use the portal to monitor responses and then check progress of any requests.

The system will run side by side with the current Citizen Access portal, which allows residents access to manage their council tax account, including checking their balance, changing direct debits and updating addresses.
