Active Tiverton is a dynamic and community-focused facility committed to delivering engaging, high-quality group exercise classes. Our programme is designed to support a wide range of members, helping them to improve their fitness, wellbeing, and overall experience through varied and motivating sessions.

Do you have a passion for leading group exercise classes? Can you create sessions that are fun, safe, and effective for a variety of abilities? We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable instructors who can bring energy, professionalism, and their own unique style to our class programme. If you can motivate participants and create an environment that keeps them coming back, we’d love to hear from you.

Classes are regularly monitored to support continuous improvement, and you will receive guidance from the Fitness Area Lead to help develop your sessions and maximise attendance.

All Instructors are expected to be punctual, energetic, and excellent at rapport building and to take ownership of delivering a high‑quality class experience.

The Role:

We are seeking flexible and motivated Group Exercise Instructors to join our team. As an instructor, you will:

• Deliver safe, engaging, and effective group exercise classes tailored to varying fitness levels.
• Plan and structure sessions that are inclusive, motivating, and aligned with class objectives
• Welcome participants and engage with them before, during, and after sessions to build relationships and support member retention.
• Provide clear instruction on technique and ensure a safe exercise environment.
• Adapt sessions to meet the needs of participants while maintaining high energy and professionalism.

What We’re Looking For:

• Recognised qualifications in one or more of the following: Studio Cycle, Kettlebells, Pilates, Low Impact Aerobics, or Les Mills programmes (e.g. BodyCombat, BodyPump).
• A strong understanding of safe exercise principles and class delivery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and motivating presence.
• Ability to engage and retain members through high quality class experiences.
• First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential)

Please note: We are not currently seeking Yoga instructors, as this area of our programme is already fully covered.
