PERMANENT: FULL TIME - 37 HOURS PER WEEK
SALARY: GRADE H £39,152 - £41,771 PER ANNUM
LOCATION: TIVERTON
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead on the provision of effective and efficient advice on tree matters within the planning service and also lead on the management of trees and woodland within the Council’s control
To be successful, you will have a minimum qualification of a National Diploma in Arboriculture Level 4 or equivalent demonstrable experience, and you’ll be confident in all aspects of arboriculture including tree identification skills, developing tree survey inspection methodology, undertaking tree surveys and tree protection legislation. Knowledge of land ownership and management through Land Registry and GIS and a proven ability to operate and adhere to health and safety procedures are also necessary.
Enthusiastic, professional, and with an ability to work independently, you will be able to prioritise your workload and work effectively with customers, residents, planning specialists and Councillors. You will also have great communication skills and be able to provide reasoned judgements on occasionally contentious matters. You should have knowledge of Town and Country Planning Legislation and British Standards in relation to trees, development and landscaping matters.
