PERMANENT: FULL TIME - 37 HOURS PER WEEK 
SALARY: GRADE G  £35,412 - £38,220 PER ANNUM
LOCATION: Tiverton

We have an exciting opportunity for a Licensing specialist to join our Public Health Team.

Candidates will need to demonstrate that they have significant experience in the field of Licensing and are able to apply Licensing policy, guidance and legislation on a range of considerations, and support with the review and formulation of licensing policy and implementation of legislation changes.

 As the escalation point for licensing matters, you will guide the team through hearing procedures and investigations. You will be required to prepare and present reports and make appropriate recommendations to the Licensing and Regulatory Committees, prior experience of this is essential. Therefore, excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for this role. Experience working with partners and external agencies on licensing related matters is required.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of independent working, managing a complex case load and using your initiative and decision making on prioritising workload and enforcement issues. You will also be able to allocate workloads and manage the progress of applications, investigations and projects that are being delivered by the wider team.

You will be able to work under pressure and have well developed influencing and negotiation skills alongside excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as part of a team and be able to demonstrate networking and partner working skills and experience.
