FIXED TERM: 3 MONTHS INITIALLY 
SALARY: £19.50 PER HOUR
LOCATION: ACTIVE TIVERTON - FRIDAYS 18:00-19:00 

Active Tiverton is a dynamic and community-focused fitness facility committed to delivering engaging, high-quality group exercise classes. Our group exercise programme plays a vital role in supporting the health, fitness, and wellbeing of our community, while creating a fun and welcoming environment for all. 

Do you have a passion for motivating people through movement and music? Can you create a class that is fun, energetic, safe, and inclusive? We are looking for an enthusiastic Zumba Instructor who can bring energy, personality, and excitement to our class programme. If you can inspire participants to exercise while having fun and leave every class feeling energised and accomplished, we'd love to hear from you. 

Exercise classes are regularly monitored for improvement but will receive support from the Fitness Area Lead to help the class reach its full potential.

 All Coaches are expected to be punctual, energetic, and excellent at rapport building and to take ownership of delivering a high‑quality class experience. 

The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and engaging Zumba Instructor to join our team. As an instructor, you will:

• Deliver safe, fun, and effective Zumba classes suitable for a range of fitness levels and abilities.
• Create engaging sessions using a variety of music and dance styles that encourage participation and enjoyment.
• Welcome participants and engage with them before, during, and after class to build relationships and support member retention.
• Provide clear instruction and modifications to ensure classes are inclusive and accessible.
• Motivate and inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals while creating a positive and supportive atmosphere.

What We’re Looking For: 

• A current and recognised Zumba® Instructor qualification/licence. 

• Knowledge of safe exercise principles and group exercise delivery. 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a confident and motivating presence. 

• Ability to create an enjoyable and inclusive class environment that encourages regular attendance. 

• First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential). 

• Previous group exercise instruction experience (advantageous but not essential).
