Services provided by the Conservation team include:
To give advice on new development in historic areas, changes to listed buildings and the character of conservation areas;
To identify and appraise conservation areas, and promote policies and schemes for their preservation and enhancement (e.g. building repairs and townscape improvements);
To advise on energy efficiency adaptations to historic buildings and areas, where possible; and
To provide advice on traditional building skills and materials, and their repair.

If you need to contact us about Listed Buildings or a Conservation Areas please complete the Conservation & Listed Building Enquiry Form and send to firstname.lastname@example.org (We will not be able to process any Conservation or Listed Building enquiries unless this is fully completed)
Please Note: Depending on the nature of the query, we may contact you to request more information, or request a fee in order to convert the enquiry to a pre application in line with the Council’s pre application procedure. A pre application may require a fee in order to arrange a site visit.
Our aim will be to reply to simple queries within 15 working days.
