Services provided by the Conservation team include:

To give advice on new development in historic areas, changes to listed buildings and the character of conservation areas;

To identify and appraise conservation areas, and promote policies and schemes for their preservation and enhancement (e.g. building repairs and townscape improvements);

To advise on energy efficiency adaptations to historic buildings and areas, where possible; and

To provide advice on traditional building skills and materials, and their repair.
