Important information about your 2026 Trade Waste Service:
1. Annual Billing
From 2026, we will be moving to annual billing for all trade waste customers. You will receive an invoice in March 2026 covering the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. Winter only customers, will be invoiced in August each year. If you wish to pay by Direct Debit, please complete the enclosed Direct Debit Mandate Form and return it to us by 31 January 2026. This will allow your payments to be scheduled automatically.
2. New Trade Waste Agreements
We are also issuing new Trade Waste Agreements, which are enclosed with this letter. All customers are required to complete and return these agreements by 31 January 2026 to ensure your collections can continue without interruption.
3. Annual Waste Transfer Notes
In March 2026, we will issue Annual Waste Transfer Notes covering the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. Please ensure these are completed, signed, and returned to us by 31 March 2026. Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, we are unable to collect your waste if a valid Waste Transfer Note is not in place. Your cooperation is therefore essential to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
4. Trade Sack Customers
If you use our trade waste sack service, please note that a Waste Transfer Note must now be completed and returned each time you place an order for sacks. We will not be able to deliver sacks until we have received the signed Waste Transfer Note. As a reminder, sacks must also be paid for in full before delivery can be arranged.
If you have any questions about these changes or need assistance completing your forms, please contact our Trade Waste Team by email: tradewaste@middevon.gov.uk
