The ability to submit for permission in principle is now live.
Applications for ‘Permission in Principle’ can now be submitted to Local Authorities in England. There is a downloadable PDF form available on the paper forms section of the Planning Portal.
We are currently experiencing some delays in processing our applications and representations.

From 1st September 2018 all applications submitted through the Planning Portal and which require a planning fee to be paid will use their Financial Transaction Service. The charge for the service is £20.00 (£16.67 + VAT)
This fee is not paid to Mid Devon District Council

Please make sure you've checked the national and local level requirements before submitting your application. If you don't submit all the information we need, we won't be able to process your application.
Planning fees should be paid at the time the application is submitted.

If a planning application is deemed invalid you will receive correspondence to advise of what will need to be resolved. After 21 days, if there has been no attempt to resolve the invalid application, it will automatically be deleted.
Where a fee has applied you will receive a refund, but with a deduction of £25.00 for administration costs.
